Utility rooms are sometimes overlooked in terms of design. The design for the room needs to be thought out, no doubt practical, making surfaces waterproof and considering flooring, especially if you have muddy little feet or paws. With practicality in mind, it is important to think of materials for flooring and surfaces in the utility. Making everything easy to clean will save you a lot of hassle in the long run as well as making sure you invest in quality, long-lasting, hardwearing flooring. Again thinking practicality, storage is very important for the space, with utility rooms usually being of a smaller size, look at interesting ways to add storage. Shoe racks are a must but you could even expand on this and add hidden storage areas to really get the most out of your space.
